Riding Lessons

Kara offers dressage, hunter and western riding lessons at Equine Tranquility Wellness Center (ETWC) in Andover, NJ. Kara tailors your lesson to your ability and goals. Whether you are just starting out, are training for the show ring, have special needs, or are just looking to ride for enjoyment, Kara will help you meet your goals. Kara is known for her patience, enthusiasm and progressive lessons. The ETWC facility maintains a string of lesson horses of various abilities, 70' X 125' indoor arena with GTT dust-free footing, 80' X 200' sand outdoor arena, 18 stall barn, 60" round pen and several wooded trails. Lesson packages start at $58 per lesson.

If you prefer to ride your own horse, you may trailer it to ETWC, a $10 ring fee will be added to the cost of your lesson. Kara also travels to clients, should you prefer a lesson at your home stable. Please contact Kara to determine if she is able to travel to your stable.

Helping Horseshoe Therapeutic Riding Program

Helping Horseshoe offers therapeutic riding lessons and a variety of additional equine assisted activities to adults and children who have special needs. Private and group lessons are offered throughout the year at ETWC. Individuals of all ages, with a wide range of physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities benefit from therapeutic horseback riding and other equine activities. Therapeutic riding boosts self-esteem, enhances social skills, and improves muscle tone, posture, and range of motion.

Training

If you are looking for horse training on the ground or under saddle, trailer him to ETWC or invite Kara to your stable. Kara is dedicated to helping you and your horse achieve your goals with methods that are kind and effective. Her focus is on working with the horse not against them. Please contact KSM to discuss your needs. Kara also has a network of professionals to assist with helping every horse be successful.

Boarding

KSM partners with several stables in northern New Jersey to board your horse while being able to train with Kara. Please contact Kara for details on current openings.

Horse Shows and Clinics

KSM attends a variety of horse shows and clinics with their clients. KSM also hosts a couple clinics a year with a variety of clinicians. Kara enjoys learning from other professionals and feels it is helpful to her clients to experience additional techniques and feedback.
